There are several steps taken by the Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity in choosing partner families

• Selection committee review of applications
• Checking income and credit reports
• Visiting applicants homes and their families
• Review and approval of the Family Selection Committee
• Review and approval of the Board of Directors

Please note:

• Partner families are selected based upon actual need for housing, ability to pay and willingness to partner
• Central Delaware does not discriminate because of age, race, religion, sex, handicap status, veteran status, marital status, or national origin
• It takes approximately one year from the time a selected family applies to the time they move into their Habitat home.
